Learning outcomes of the curricular unit: 1 - Know the polymers, materials and technologies of the future, and digital technologies for creating innovative fashion products 2 - Analyze and discuss innovations and new developments in advanced and emerging materials and technologies 3 - Know and investigate the intersection of fashion design, science, technology and innovation management 4 - Be able to define innovative and futuristic materials and production processes related to fashion design 5 - Be able to identify and design future and innovative strategies for fashion production and commercialization 6 - Develop and apply new ideas to advanced research projects to academic and real life.

1 - Opportunities and trends for new products, materials and innovative technologies for fashion design of the future: 1.1 Innovative polymers(from food and agroforestry waste; biosynthesis etc.): Identification, characterization and projection for application in fashion design 1.2 Innovative 2D and 3D textile structures: requirements, materials and construction parameters 1.3 Functional textile /non-textile substrates: interface with electronics, nanotechnology, 3D printing, computer and human-behaviour sciences 2 - Innovative and futuristic strategies: 2.1 Biomimetic approach to the design and development of super products of the future 2.2 Virtual reality, augmented reality and artificial intelligence techniques in fashion industry: Analysis of trends and projections with virtual reality; Virtual prototyping; Rapid prototyping; Advanced VR / AR tools 2.3 Blockchain, e-commerce and sustainable fashion business 2.4 Conceptual Project.
