Learning outcomes The course unit aims to introduce the general study of Community Psychology and Community Development in Pedagogic Supervision. To characterize Community Psychology and Community Development within an inter / multidisciplinary frame.
To distinguishe and integrate processes of community assessment, prevention and intervention.
To understand and characterize community assessment issues.
To identify and characterize community prevention settings in a strengths-based approach.
To develop theoretical competences in community intervention and developement within different ecological levels of analysis.
To analyse, evaluate and develop community intervention projects and programs.
Syllabus I - Community Psychology:
1. Community Psychology areas of intervention and their framework: what, how and why?
2.Community assessment: from planning to defining intervention priorities.
3.Community prevention: well-being and competence--based perspective vs. problem-based perspective.

II - Community Development:
1. School and Community – Systemic approach to the (inter)organizational level of the schooll in community development
2. Psycho-social intervention processes and community development in and through schools
3. Community Development Planning and Programming
4. Community development Evaluation and Assessment
