Learning outcomes - Perform the appropriate sequence of ocular exams in the visual evaluation of patients with specific profiles, in clinical context.
Syllabus Clinical skills:
- Perform the appropriate ocular exams for the visual and visual-percetual evaluation of the pediatric patient.
- Perform the appropriate ocular exams for the visual evaluation of the geriatric patient.
- Perform the appropriate ocular exams for the visual evaluation of the patient with low vision.
- Perform the appropriate ocular exams for the pre and postoperative evaluation of a refractive surgery patient.
- Conduct the appropriate ocular exams for the pre- and post-adaptation evaluation of contact lenses in specific cases.
- Use the appropriate diagnostic eye medications to aid in refraction and ocular examination.
- Perform the necessary examinations for structural and functional evaluation of the ocular structures and annexes.
