Know, understand, interpret and contextualize the main techniques of Medical Imaging. At the end of the curricular unit the student should be able to: (A) Identify key applications, advantages and disadvantages of different imaging modalities. (B) Explain the physical processes of radiation production and radiation interaction with matter involved in the different imaging techniques. (C) Discuss the contrast in the different imaging modalities. (D) Describe the image formation and the main systems used in the different imaging techniques. (E) Discuss the quality of the image and the information obtained in the different imaging modalities. (F) Observe medical imaging and identify the relevant anatomy and physiology in the most common images in clinics. (G) Describe the radiation protection measures in an hospital. (H) Work in a team and communicate with colleagues. (H) Work in teams and communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders. (I) Analyse and synthesise scientific content.
