Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Classes in this course are theoretical and practical, beginning with a presentation of theoretical concepts and their evolution, as well as a characterization of the market/capitalist economic model and its social consequences. The societal response over time to marginalization phenomena and the challenges for the 21st century are also presented and discussed. To achieve greater learning success in each of the syllabuses, discussion of national and European experiences is encouraged. During classes, we strive to involve all students in the discussion with the goal of stimulating critical analysis of their practical and theoretical implications.
Evaluation for this course is conducted throughout the semester, with the teaching-learning grade obtained through two projects: one individual (60%), one group (30%), and class involvement/participation (10%). The group project is structured in a multi-stage manner.
