Learning outcomes Develop knowledge and skills about sports training methodologies for the development of training programs, taking into account the specificity of sports, the objectives and the age of the practitioners.
At the end of the UC the students should:
Understand the importance of the differentiation and the specificity in the training methodology Demonstrate knowledge about evaluation and control of the needs and demands of different sports
Develop central knowledge of the training schedule to the scale of a specific intervention according to the characteristics of the sport
Demonstrate differentiating knowledge regarding programming and periodization according to certain sports
Understand the problem of youth training in its multiple and complex vectors of analysis and intervention
Syllabus Training Foundations in Individual Sports
1.1. Advanced Programming of Physical Conditioning Training in Individual Sports
1.2. Training Programming Models Applied to Individual Sports

Training Foundations in Team Sports
2.1. Optimization of the Training Process and Load Individualization in Team Sports
2.2. Training Programming Models Applied to Team Sports

Sports Training Programming
3.1. Multidisciplinary Integration and Specific Adaptation
3.2. Training Under Specific Conditions (e.g., children and youth, altitude training, the female athlete)

Complementary Sport-Specific Option
Option 1 – Training Methodology in Football
Option 2 – Training Methodology in Futsal
Option 3 – Training Methodology in Swimming
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria 1 – Group assignment (2/3 students): design of an 8-week combined strength and endurance training cycle in an individual or team sport – Presentation and discussion – 60% (28/05)

2 – Written test (individual) – 40% (07/05)

Final grade = Weighted average of 1 and 2
If Final grade < 6 ? Fail
