PEDRO DINIS - Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. He is an integrated researcher at C-MAST (Center for Mechanics and Aerospace Sciences and Technologies), coordinator of LITecS - Laboratory of Innovation and Technologies for Sustainability, and collaborates with the Food4Sustainability collaborative laboratory. His work focuses on energy efficiency, sustainability, and automation/robotics in agriculture, contributing to various national and international R&D projects. He is the author of more than 180 publications in books, book chapters, international journals, and conference papers, as well as co-author of six patents. He has also been the editor of several scientific journals and international books.

ABÍLIO SILVA - PhD with Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering and Associate Professor in the Electromechanical Engineering Department of the University of Beira Interior. He is a researcher and coordinator of AeroMaS (Aeronautical Materials and Structures Group) at C-MAST (Center for Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences and Technologies, www.cmast.ubi.pt). He is co-author of dozens of publications in international journals and teaches Materials Science, Materials Selection, Aerospace Materials, and Biomaterials. His research interests include composites, structures, nanotechnologies, and multifunctional materials. NUNO PEREIRA - Researcher and professor in the field of engineering and computer science, with a diverse academic and professional career. He completed his Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degrees at the University of Beira Interior, with his doctorate focused on the development of intelligent robotic systems for collaborative automation in industry, within the scope of Industry 4.0. Currently, he is a researcher at LITecS and an integrated member of C-MAST, being involved in projects such as the development of intelligent agricultural monitoring systems, using AI and IoT technologies to promote sustainable agriculture.

ANTUNES RODRIGUES - PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Beira Interior (UBI) and researcher at LITecS (C-MAST). He is licensed and master in Electronic Engineering, has skills in design for advanced prototypes (SolidWorks, additive fabric), programming (C, MATLAB, Python) and industrial robotics, and contributes to projects such as Biod'Agro and Montanha Viva, which promote solutions for agricultural, agroindustrial and tourism sectors. Currently, he participates in the ROBOTA-SUDOE project and publishes several articles in conferences and international magazines in the areas of collaborative robotics and soft actuator design. Among his publications highlight work on the design of robotic claws with the Fin Ray effect, the integration of computer vision methods in the collection of fruits and the computational optimization of robotic controllers.

VASCO LOPES - Received B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science in 2017 and 2019, respectively, and is waiting to defend his doctorate at the intersection of Computer Vision and Machine Learning, where the focus was on designing new Neural Architecture Research methods that automatically and efficiently design new neural networks for different problems. In the country, Vasco works on many research projects, such as uPATO, RobotChain, INDTech 4.0 and CovidSight. Since 2019, he has worked as a Guest Assistant at UBI and, since 2020, he has been the CEO and Co-Founder of DeepNeuronic, a company that develops computer vision solutions to automate daily processes through the detection of threatening assets from CCTV, and leads a team of 8 people. In 2021, he collaborates with the Huawei R&D Center in Paris as a research assistant, and develops neural architecture research methods for network reliability.

JORGE REIS SILVA - Graduated in Maritime Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Telecommunications from the Infante D. Henrique Nautical School (ENIDH), Master's in Operational Research and Systems Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), and PhD in Transportation from IST. He has been working since 1979, first as a Merchant Navy Officer at the Portuguese Tanker Ship Society (SOPONATA), then as an Aeronautical Telecommunications Technician at ANA - Airports and Air Navigation, and finally as a Professor at UBI. He is President of the Board of Directors of the Aerospace Engineering Research Association (AEROG), President of the Board of Directors of the Ibero-American Air Transport Research Network (RIDITA), and Director of Research and Development of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA - Portugal).

FRANCISCO DO ADRO - PhD in Management from the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. He is currently the coordinator of the UNITA European University Alliance. He has been an active member of the GEMINAE working group and the FOREU2 subgroup for Cooperation with Non-European Partners since 2021. He has been a member of FOR.EU.PT (Forum of Portuguese Higher Education Institutions in European University Alliances) since its creation in 2023. He previously worked in the private, public, and social sectors in Spain, France, and most recently in Portugal, where he served for 11 years as executive director of a major non-profit organization. He has also held local public office and served on the board of several associations since 1995.

CLEMENTE PINTO - Civil Engineer specializing in Structures and Construction, with a Master's degree in Structures and a PhD in Civil Engineering. He has been a professor in the Civil Engineering and Architecture programs at the University of Beira Interior since 2004. He is a supervisor for Master's dissertations in Civil Engineering focusing on Special Structures and Structural Modeling. He is currently supervising a PhD in Civil Engineering, jointly with the University of Turin, focused on Computational Modeling and Analysis of High-Strength Rocks for Structural Applications. He is the director of the 1st Cycle/Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and is a member of the 2nd Cycle/Master's and 3rd Cycle/PhD in Civil Engineering Committees.

BERTHA SANTOS - Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Beira Interior (UBI) and conducts research at the GeoBioTec – UBI Campus, as an integrated member, and CERIS – University of Lisbon, as a collaborating member. She holds a bachelor's, master's, and doctorate in Civil Engineering. Her research interests include road and airport pavement maintenance management systems, statistical analysis and modeling in transportation engineering and road safety, active mobility, and GIS Applications to the Transportation Sector (GIS-T). Throughout her career, she has published more than 80 research papers, including articles at international conferences and in specialized journals. She holds two specialist titles from the Portuguese Engineers Association (PT): one in Transportation and Communications and the other in Geographic Information Systems.

VERUSKA DIAS - Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at Speedbird Aero. I am an Aerospace Engineer, Researcher, and Professor of International Business Development with 14 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Half of that time has been dedicated to unmanned aerial systems and innovative air mobility, having worked, for example, as a consultant for Accenture Germany. I help develop the Innovative Air Mobility market with my deep understanding of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and air mobility business acumen, and extensive experience working with senior management on both the business and product sides. I am a member of JARUS WG AW & NASA TVF WG#1 | BVLOS Flight Test Board at SFTE | Liaison Board at the AAM Institute.

FRANCISCO BRÓJO - He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Coimbra and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Cranfield University (UK). He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Sciences at UBI and Head of the Department. He has taught at UBI since 1991, where he began his university teaching career as a Teaching Assistant. As a university professor, he has taught and researched in several disciplines, primarily in the areas of Aircraft Propulsion I, Aircraft Propulsion II, Aircraft Propulsion III, Gas Dynamics, Aircraft Manufacturing and Maintenance, Applied Thermodynamics, Heat Engines, Automotive Propulsion, and Heat Transfer. He has supervised over 100 master's theses, completed dissertations, and two completed doctoral theses.

ANTÓNIO ALBUQUERQUE - Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Beira Interior (UBI, Portugal), professor in several undergraduate and graduate programs, senior researcher, and Scientific Coordinator of the GeoBioTec@UBI research unit. He has worked for 33 years in the areas of water treatment and distribution for human consumption, wastewater, rainwater, and industrial water treatment and reuse, and industrial waste recovery. He is the author or co-author of approximately 400 publications (books, patents, book chapters, journal articles, conference papers, technical standards, technical manuals, technical paper reports, and academic texts). He was President of the College of Environmental Engineering of the Portuguese Engineers Association and is currently a member of its Admissions and Qualifications Council.

ISABEL FALORCA - Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Beira Interior. She teaches Soil Mechanics, Hydrology and Water Resources, and various Geotechnical Engineering courses. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering (2011) from the University of Beira Interior, a Master's degree in Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (2003), and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (1997), both from the University of Coimbra. She conducts research in the areas of soil reinforcement, geosynthetics, land improvement, and physical modeling of geotechnical-hydraulic processes. Her work focuses on the fundamental study of soils and geotechnical systems, with an emphasis on the mechanics of various interaction phenomena. Her research is primarily experimental and has been funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology and local industries.

MARISA ALMEIDA - Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at UBI, where she teaches several courses for the Civil Engineering and Architecture programs. She has advanced knowledge in laboratory techniques for characterizing bituminous mixtures. She is responsible for the Construction Technology Laboratory of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at UBI. She supervises and co-supervises doctoral theses and master's dissertations in Civil Engineering. She is a researcher at the Center of Materials and Civil Engineering for Sustainability (C-MADE), where she has developed research on paving materials and innovative construction technologies, particularly the use of recycled materials and low-impact solutions. She has authored or co-authored articles and papers in national and international journals and scientific meetings. Her current research interests focus on the development and performance evaluation of economically and environmentally sustainable technical solutions for road paving.
