Learning outcomes The objectives of this course is to develop knowledge and practical skills in the assessment of physical fitness related to health, aiming at structuring the training objectives (diagnosis) of clients in exercise and health.
• Selects and applies different methodologies for collecting information by establishing a clear customer profile, both in terms of individual aspects (goals, lifestyle, medical history and sport, physical activity level and preferred activities) or at the level of the components of fitness .
• Understands, evaluates and analyzes the different components of physical fitness related to health: cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength, flexibility, posture and body composition.
• Defines the structure and objectives of effective and realistic training for the customer, given the diagnosis made.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The teaching / learning activities include the realization of lectures (T), theoretical-practical (TP) and laboratory practice (PL), being the theoretical classes used for the presentation and explanation of the proposed contents. The pedagogical methodology used consists mainly of interactive classes in which the subject is not directly exposed but the students are guided in the search for information relevant to the resolution of problems / questions, associated with the theoretical concepts.
The assessment consists of three aspects: laboratory reports, which allow students to reflect on the different methods of assessment of a given valence that were tried in the laboratory class and conclude advantages, disadvantages and applicability of each, as well as interpret the results that the method gives; field work; and written test.
