Learning outcomes The student must acquire knowledge / skills that allow him to understand and recognize the importance of biological processes in psychological processes and functions. Thus, at the end of the CU he should be able to frame biopsychology into its field of knowledge, describe the evolutionary aspects associated with behavior, use the neuroanatomical nomenclature as a support for the description of areas and structures, describe the main cortical areas and the main divisions of the the nervous system, describe the forms of communication between neurons, discuss the performance of drugs on synapses and their effects on neuronal communication, describe the different research methodologies in biopsychology. He should be able to work within groups, analyze, synthesize and integrate information from various sources in a critical way.

Neurobiophysics and Neurobioquímica;
Methodologies of investigation in Biopsychology.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The course will employ both expository and interrogative methodologies. It is organized into chapters, with a formal assessment taking place the week after each chapter's completion. Assessment dates will be agreed upon by the instructor and students. To be eligible for the final exam, students must complete all assessments and maintain an average score above 6. Those achieving a score above 10 will be exempt from the final exam.
