A Universidade da Beira Interior vai acolher a realização do
International Congress on Safety and Labour Market 2013. O evento vai ter lugar nos dias 8 e 9 de maio de 2013 e assume-se como um espaço de debate de um vasto conjunto de preocupações sentidas por empresários, trabalhadores, parceiros sociais, organismos e membros da Administração Pública, central e local, para além de organizações internacionais e pelos mass media.
A exigência de dar uma outra dimensão à produtividade e competitividade empresarial impôs profundas mudanças na organização do trabalho para responder a novos prazos e custos de produção, com preocupações acrescidas nos domínios da Segurança e Saúde no trabalho. Os novos riscos profissionais são hoje transversais a todos os setores de atividade económica, pertençam estes ao quadro de uma nova economia ou a segmentos mais tradicionais, no seu esforço de modernização, onde riscos há muito identificados se juntam àqueles. Este é um dos problemas que o Congresso pretende aprofundar, a par dos objetivos de promover uma profunda reflexão no sentido da solução dos problemas do desemprego nas suas diversas dimensões e, ainda, de discutir o papel do sistema de ensino e de formação neste âmbito.

International Congress on Safety and Labour Market (ICSLM 2013)

We invite contributed papers and participants for the congress on the theme “Safety and Labour Market”: The ICSLM 2013 is a venue and a time for debating a vast range of concerns felt by entrepreneurs, workers, social partners, public administration members, central and local, the government, the parliament, and the presidency, and also by international organizations and mass media.
The themes of the congress are the assessment of the demand of another dimensions for managing productivity and competitiveness, how it changes the work organization, employment needs, unemployment facets, occupational risks and safety on workplace. Besides these themes, education and training system completes the range of concerns that we believe plentifully justify this initiative of organizing the ICSLM 2013.
The aim of the congress is to provide a better understanding of these concerns felt by the social, political and industrial parties. The following list of topics is meant as a non-limiting indication of options for paper submissions:

SubmissionAbstracts should describe original and unpublished work on the topics of the congress. Contributors should submit a abstract in PDF format by December 9th 2012 after registering to the event. Further information can be found on the

Each paper will be reviewed and will be accepted based on its originality, significance and clarity. All accepted papers will appear in the congress proceedings. A copy of the proceedings will be distributed to all participants at the ICSLM.
Only electronic submissions through Easychair application available on the website will be accepted.
Papers to be considered for selection must be delivered in finalised form at the congress, with the full text submitted by 3 February 2013. Submission implies that at least one of the authors has to register and to present the communication at the congress if the paper is accepted.
