Scientific Area: Electrical Engineering.
Required education level and research experience: The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and strong expertise in the areas of sustainable/renewable energy, electricity markets and smart grids, having also a very high scientific merit in the CV demonstrated with at least 25 IEEE/Elsevier Q1 journal papers already published or accepted for publication.
Objectives/summary: The project studies the evolution of power systems, by designing the future scenarios and operational alternatives that form the basis of the advances needed to meet the future challenges. It is also focuses on end-users both on the perspective of exploiting energy usage behaviors and technological energy management solutions. The goal of the work associated with this grant is to coordinate the activities related to grid applications for optimized operation and improved resiliency.
Duration: 6 months, renewable, until 24 months, from January 2017.
