Main research field: Geology Sul) research fields: Geochemistry Job description: This research position will consist of a full time position for a period of 6 months in the framework of the EPOS-IP (European Plate Observing System - Implementation Phase) project. The selected candidate will compile and organize the geochemical information already produced in the consortium laboratories for their future management in databases, and will eventually consult scientific reports in Portuguese language. Candidates must hold a degree in Geology or in a similar area and some expertise in Informatics. The contract will be done with UBI, which represents the Portuguese Consortium at EPOS-IP.

Admission conditions:
- Candidates must have completed a degree in Geology or similar area.
- Proficiency in English.

Preferential Requisites:
- Expertise in Informatics.
- Ability to work in an organized and structured way
- Good social and team working skills.
- Capacity to work independently, according to the instructions received.

Working place: Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto (FCUP) and Laboratório Nacional de Energia e Geologia (LNEG- Porto), under the supervision of the concerned laboratories managers.

Duration of Research Fellowship: The fellowship will last 6 months and is expected to start by September 2017 or the earliest possible date thereafter. It is a full time research fellowship and all the conditions established by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology will be applied (more information: http://www.fct.pt).
