Research Grant for Doctor | Informatics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related fields @ UBI

We are pleased to inform that the “SOCIA - Soft Computing and Image Analysis Group” and the “NMCG: Network and Multimedia Computing Group” labs. at the University of Beira Interior (Portugal) are offering one post-doc research position, in the scope of a research project entitled “CLOUD-S-POLIS: Cloudification of Autonomous Security Agents for Urban Environments”, funded by the "FEDER, Fundo de Coesão e Fundo Social Europeu" under the “PT2020 - Portugal 2020” program.

The grant is given for 24 months and the net salary is: 1495€ (approx. 1708$ USD) + 125€ social security, per month.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Informatics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related fields, preferably with expertise in the Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Image Processing and Biometrics domains. Solid programming skills in C++ and Python languages is also a requirement.

The research should be conducted at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, under the supervision of Prof. Hugo Proença, Prof. Mário Freire and Prof. Pedro Inácio.

Work is expected to start by January 2019.
