Post-Doctoral Grant | EMaDeS Project – Energy, Materials and Sustainable development

A competition is open for a Post-doctoral research grant in the framework of the project Centro-01-0145-FEDER-000017 – EMaDeS – Energy, Materials and Sustainable development, co-financed by the Program Portugal 2020 (PT 2020), within the Programa Operacional Regional do Centro (CENTRO 2020) and European Union by the Fundo Europeu de Desenvolvimento Regional (FEDER), the project taking place in the C-MAST-Centre for Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences and Technology, Department of Electromechanical Engineering, University of Beira Interior, Covilhã.

Scientific Area: Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering or related areas.

Required education level and research experience: The candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering or related areas and expertise in the area of Mechanics of Space Tether Systems. Special relevance will be given to the candidates with experience in Materials for Space Tethers and relevant scientific merit demonstrated by the number of papers published in journals indexed to the ISI or Scopus database.

Workplace and Scientific supervision: The workplace will be at C-MAST ‐ Centre for Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences and Technology, University of Beira Interior, and supervised by Prof. Dra. Anna Guerman.
